Today marks the two-year anniversary of my Mom passing away due to lung cancer. I don’t know why, but it seems like an eternity ago that we lost her. Perhaps it’s because so much has happened in the time since then. I’ve had a child, got engaged and married, changed jobs, and moved into a new house. Regardless I will never forget the time spent with my Mom. I wish she had been here for all the wonderful things that have happened and will continue to happen, but I take solace with the knowledge that there are many people who will be able to continue to tell her stories so that we never forget.

It was very hard not having my Mom at my wedding and I know I was not the only one thinking of her that day. After the wedding Kayla and I visited Mom’s footstone in Strathmore to lay down Kayla’s bouquet. Here is a picture:
