I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but blogging is pretty low on the priority list these days. So what's new?
Elodie is ever growing and ever changing. Her vocabulary increases daily as she seems to easily pick up new words. She's starting to form sentences now, albeit small ones. She can talk on the phone too, which is adorable. It's really the little things that amaze me about her. Yesterday she saw a bag of chips in the cupboard and asked "Daddy, chip?" so I gave her one. She ate half of it and then ran over to give me the remaining half and said 'thank you'. It was the first time she had said thank you without one of us prodding her to say it.
Last week Elodie had croup and it required a very long evening in the Children's Hospital. It's a bit of a surreal experience to be surrounded my sick children and exhausted parents in the middle of the night, but they run a tight ship around there. Fortunately for us the Airdrie Regional Health Centre is offering urgent care starting on Monday. I still think it's ridiculous that a city of over 30,000 doesn't have a hospital, but it's a start. The staff there is top-notch, so it's going to be a great addition to the community.
On another note, Super Mario Galaxy = Perfection.
