Wise Fwom Yo' Gwave!

It is clear now that Facebook is responsible for the downfall of the blogosphere. Catnarok can’t be far behind. Anyway, Kayla was just telling me how unfortunate it is that I don’t blog anymore, and I’d have to say I agree. I mean, I could make excuses that I’m too busy, but really how hard is it to blog like once a week? Plus, it will give me a reason to end her Grammarazi Transcriptatorship over our home computer. I need my own computer BAD. So I really am going to try and blog more.

So what’s new? Let’s see… Elodie is growing and developing faster than I can keep track of. Each day brings a new set of words she knows or activity she can do. I mean the other day she drew a smiling face. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but it was pretty flippin’ epic when I saw her do it. She knows most of her colours and shapes, and she’s remarkably good at holding a crayon. She’s starting to learn her numbers too, but isn’t quite sure what order they go in. It’s quite cute if you ask her to count to 10 because she’ll just start randomly listing them: “five, six, nine, two, nine, TEN!”. I’ll have to take a video of it.

I don’t know if it’s that I’m growing up, or that I’m so busy, but I’ve barely touched a video game in like a month. I do have leisure time on occasion, but I usually spend it reading or cleaning. Yes, cleaning. Me… cleaning. I’ve been making a concerted effort to keep our house cleaner and although it feels like a losing battle, I have noticed a difference. Particularly I’ve been waging war against the laundry. You see even before Elodie was born we’ve kind of had this laundry pile that seems to always stay the same size. Clothes just kind of rotated through it and sometimes you’d not see a shirt for like a month. I am determined to eliminate the pile and I think I will be victorious this weekend. Maybe even tonight. Most exciting Friday night ever! One thing I’ve learned is that I have a metric fuckton of socks, but only like 8 matching pairs. How does this happen when 90% of your socks are black?
